Thousands of Pakistanis passed the Peoples’ Resolution calling for, among other things, the shift from a security state to a welfare state and stronger representative demoracy, provincial autonomy, accountability and an independent foreign policy. The resolution was drafted from discussions from more than 90 nationwide People’s Assemblies. The evening was rounded off in style with music from NWFP, Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh.
