Friday 12th March

As of today more than 50 People’s Assemblies on Peace have taken place across Pakistan. That’s over 5000 people across the provinces of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, NWFP and Gilgit Baltistan, taking part in a national dialogue on peace and the future of the country. Pakistanis of all walks of life have been sharing their views on Peace such as;
“If the government spent on education and employment, they would not need to spend so much on the war and terror.”
“Dysfunctional institution and lack of democracy is a barrier to peace.”
These responses, along with those to the online survey, will help form the People’s Agreement to be created this month.
